Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement calling for strong winds on Wednesday.
The following areas are impacted:
- Belleville – Quinte West – Eastern Northumberland County
- Cobourg – Colborne – Western Northumberland County
The weather service says it expects “strong westerly gusts” anywhere between 70 km/h and 80 km/h beginning Wednesday afternoon and into Wednesday night.
The strongest wind gusts are expected to be along the shoreline of Lake Ontario.
Winds should die down later in the evening.
