Expect to see more RIDE programs as we head into the holiday season.
Members of the Prince Edward County OPP conducted four separate RIDE programs over the weekend.
One RIDE program was conducted in Rossmore at Highway 62 at County Rd. 3 where officers spoke with multiple vehicles.
An approved screening device was used resulting in one warn range suspension.
In addition, a driver was stopped and arrested.
Twenty-one-year-old Eric Silvestri from Roslin was charged with the following:
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance – cocaine
- Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
The driver was released on an undertaking and is expected to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton at a later date.
