UPDATE: 1:30 – Suspect in custody
There is a heavy police presence in the north of Belleville this afternoon where police are reportedly looking for a suspect who has fled on foot.
According to Twitter reports from Quinte Dispatch, a suspect ditched a vehicle as part of a pursuit behind Quinte Mall during the noon hour and fled on foot.
The suspect was then seen crossing the Highway 401 overpass headed towards the Walmart parking lot.
OPP, Belleville Police and K9 units are believed to be involved in the search.
