Northumberland OPP and the Port Hope Police Service are seeking the public’s help with their investigation into the death of a 60-year-old man earlier this year.
On August 5, around 10:20 a.m., Port Hope police responded to a report of a seriously injured man in the West Beach area.
The victim was identified as Ian Purcell of Port Hope.
He succumbed to his injuries on August 12.
The investigation remains ongoing, under the direction of the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
