If you live in either Quinte West’s Sidney or Frankford wards and are interested in becoming a public school board trustee you should check in with the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
Last week, trustee Kristen Parks, who was acclaimed in the October municipal election, resigned her seat for personal reasons.
Yesterday the school board voted to begin an “application and interview” process ultimately leading to an appointment of a new trustee within 90 days.
