A local artisanal cheese maker has partnered with United Way Hastings & Prince Edward for a special fundraiser for its 2022 campaign.
Cheese Lovers Unite will see Maple Dale Cheese Co. donate $10 from the sale of a limited edition, private stock, three-year aged, Small Batch Cheddar Cheese to the 2022 United Way HPE Campaign.
The 2000 two-pound blocks will sell for $20 each.
“Maple Dale Cheese is renowned for their quality artisanal cheese. We are grateful that a local company has opted to support their local community in such a unique way,” says Brandi Hodge, Executive Director. “As we head into the holiday season, this is a perfect initiative—offering a product that many are likely to purchase anyway. It really is a win-win for our community.”
Paul Henry, owner, Maple Dale Cheese Co. has a long tradition of giving back and this partnership is no exception. “It’s timely. Whether you’re attending a gathering, need a gift, or hosting a party yourself, every Christmas celebration typically includes cheese,” says Henry. “We have the product, and United Way has the means of turning the proceeds into positive impact in our community. We are excited to partner on an initiative that can help so many people.”
The cheese is now on sale and can be purchased by visiting Maple Dale Cheese Co. at 2864 Hwy #37, Plainfield or online at www.unitedwayhpe.ca/cheese.
Weekly Friday deliveries will be made to The Maurice Rollins Centre at 55 Harriett St. in Belleville for ease of pick-up.
