There has been another drop in COVID-19 cases in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties while cases of influenza are creeping up.
In its weekly update, the Hastings Prince Edward Public Health dashboard shows 66 active high-risk cases of COVID-19, down from 85 last week.
There were 59 new cases reported over the last seven days.
There were no new COVID-related deaths.
Hospitalizations have also dropped from sixteen to seven.
One person is in the ICU.
There are four outbreaks in high-risk settings which is one less than the previous week.
Public Health’s respiratory infection dashboard shows an increase of 18 cases of Influenza A.
There have been 29 lab-confirmed cases so far.
Some of the cases likely relate to Hastings Centennial Manor where an Influenza A oubreak was declared late last week.
There were no new cases of Influenza B over the last seven days.
One case has been confirmed to date.
