Quinte West OPP have laid a dangerous driving charge after a pedestrian was nearly struck by a vehicle.
Police say they responded to a report of a collision on Dundas Street East, just west of Marmora Street, on Saturday around 11:30 a.m.
It was reported that a westbound SUV left the roadway on a curve and narrowly missed colliding with a pedestrian on a sidewalk.
OPP say the incident was captured on a CCTV camera.
Sixty-four-year-old Dale Mackintosh of Quinte West was charged with dangerous driving.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 22.
OPP are hoping to speak with the pedestrian as the pedestrian left the scene prior to police arriving.
