Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting the first confirmed seasonal outbreak of Influenza A in the Quinte region.
The outbreak is at Hastings Centennial Manor.
All community members are being strongly urged to get their flu shot as soon as possible to reduce their risk of severe illness, and help protect their loved ones, the vulnerable in our community, and the health care system.
The flu shot is available at your local health care provider or pharmacy.
Residents are also encouraged to self-isolate at home if they develop flu-like symptoms and to wear masks when in public.
