Quinte West Council is criticizing recent provincial legislation.
During a Monday evening council meeting, council voted to send a letter to Steve Clark, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, in regards to the More Homes Built Faster Act.
The criticisms were brought up by Councillor David O’Neil, who pointed out the burden that waiving certain development charges would put on taxpayers.
Council voted to have a letter drafted with the concerns on that part of the bill, and sent to the minister.
