The team once known as the Belleville Bulls is on the move, albeit temporarily.
The Hamilton Bulldogs received unexpected news that they will be forced to leave the FirstOntario Centre for the next two seasons while renovations to the 36-year-old facility are carried out.
That news caught the OHL team by surprise.
According to a letter to the fans from team owner Michael Andlauer they had been told that the renovations would occur in a manner that would allow hockey to continue.
The Bulldogs have not yet determined where they will play for the next two seasons.
Last season the Bulldogs averaged under 3100 fans while winning the OHL Championship.
Andlaurer bought the Belleville Bulls in March 2015 and moved the team to Hamilton where they have won two OHL championships.
