The Belleville Senators slipped past the Rochester Americans with a 3-2 shootout victory.
Rourke Chartier, Lassi Thomson, and Kristians Rubins scored for the Senators.
While neither team scored in the first period, the Americans claimed the first goal early in the second before the Senators came back and tied the score before proceeding to the third period. In the third period, the Americans once again took the lead before the senators tied the game back up, forcing them to go to overtime. Neither team was able to grab a goal in overtime, resulting in a shootout where Rourke Chartier took the game winning goal for the Senators.
The Senators’ next opponent is the Cleveland Monsters at CAA Arena on Wednesday.
