The Syracuse Crunch put the squeeze on the Belleville Senators at the Upstate Medical University Arena, taking the game 4 – 2.
Jake Lucchini and Ridly Greig scored for the Senators.
Lucchini claimed the first goal of the game for the Senators just under five minutes in. The Crunch evened the score before the end of the first period, and then scored again in the second. In the third period, the Crunch scored two more. Grieg came back for the Senators to claim their second goal of the night but couldn’t catch up to the Crunch.
Senators head coach Troy Mann said that the team did well in the beginning of the game.
“I thought we did some good things over the 60 minutes. We got the first goal, and the power play was effective. The biggest turning point in the game for me was their goal towards the end of the second,” Mann said.
The Senators play again Saturday night at home in CAA Arena.
