The Salvation Army is preparing to kick off its annual kettle campaign with an event at the Quinte Mall on November 21.
The event will include Christmas carolling and an appearance by Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis.
The annual kettle campaign is the Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser, and all proceeds will be used to support the Salvation Army in Belleville.
Fifteen kettles are planned to be placed at businesses around the city where people can donate.
Last year, the kettle campaign raised $290,500. This year’s goal is $315,000.
The event is being held inside the mall, in front of Sport Chek, near the Winners entrance.
