The body of a Canadian soldier who died in Iraq is to arrive in Trenton Thursday morning.
The Department of National Defence announced Monday Captain Eric Cheung died in Iraq on November 5 under “non-operational-related circumstances.”
No other details are being released while the investigation into his death continues.
Cheung has been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces since 2009, most recently as an Operations Officer with 38 Canadian Brigade Group headquarters, based in Winnipeg.
His remains are to arrive CFB Trenton at 11.00 a.m.
Following an arrival ceremony, a procession will travel to Toronto along the Highway of Heroes.
