The holiday season in Belleville ramps up next week, in fact, you might even think you’re in a Hallmark movie.
BIA Executive Director Luisa Sorrentino says they’ve partnered with the City of Belleville to bring Enchanted, a five week holiday experience to the downtown with the kickoff on November 17.
“So we will have an expanded holiday market, we will have food trucks, we’ll have Santa, we will have the Side Hustle Market. We will have a synthetic ice rink that we rented for the five weeks period as well as the interactive swings that we had downtown before.”
Events will be held every Thursday through Sunday through December 18 including late shopping on Thursday and Friday evenings.
“We get that a lot, where people want the stores to stay open late so, here you have it, Thursday and Fridays, come down. There’s gonna be live music on Friday night, late shopping, you can skate, you can catch a horse and carriage ride.”
Santa will visit every Thursday, the Side Hustle Market vendors will be selling from wooden huts on Front Street and the skating rink will be set up off the Campbell Street Parking Lot.
The city received funding for the event through the Reconnect Ontario Program.
