OPP are investigating after there was a small structure fire close to the Research Castings facility in Trenton.
Quinte West Fire responded to the blaze just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen tells Quinte News a small structure caught on fire.
“It was about an 8′ x 8′ structure that was fully engulfed. We got the fire out. We discovered there was a woodstove that was burning still. We think that started it. No one was around. There were no injuries,” Whelan tells Quinte News.
After an investigation, it was found that a small wood stove was inside the structure.
OPP are continuing to investigate.
