The COVID-19 situation at Campbellford Memorial Hospital is improving, however, the Day Surgery area will continue to be repurposed as patient rooms in order to alleviate capacity pressures, and visiting restrictions remain in place throughout the hospital.
In an update on Tuesday, the hospital reported the outbreak in the South Wing of the Inpatient Unit has been declared over.
The outbreak was declared on October 27.
Visiting restrictions will continue until the outbreak on the East Wing is lifted.
The repurposing of the Day Surgery area means the Endoscopy Surgical Suite will remain closed until further notice.
CMH has also been working with partner hospitals to transfer patients requiring acute care who cannot be admitted due to capacity issues.
