Active COVID-19 cases in the region have fallen below 100 but there have been two more deaths due to the virus.
Ninety-four people have died from COVID across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties since the start of the pandemic.
The weekly update from Hastings Prince Edward Public Health shows 74 new high-risk cases have been reported over the last seven days.
There are 98 active cases, down from last week’s 102.
According to the Public Health dashboard, hospitalizations have also also decreased from 23 to 16.
There are no patients in intensive case.
There are currently seven outbreaks in high-risk settings – an increase of two, including four new ones declared over the last seven days.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is also updating its new Respiratory Infection dashboard every Tuesday.
To date, there has only been one lab-confirmed case of influenza, an Influenza A infection.
The Respiratory Infection dashboard reports lab-confirmed cases of Influenza A and B along with institutional outbreaks of influenza or other respiratory illnesses and Emergency Department visits with influenza-like illnesses.
