A Montreal man is facing charges after a stolen vehicle was recovered in Quinte West.
Sunday afternoon, Quinte West OPP were alerted to a pickup truck driving erratically, eastbound on Highway 401 near Trenton-Frankford Road.
Officers observed a similar vehicle travelling south on Trenton-Frankford Road and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lock 1 of the Trent-Severn Waterway.
Investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen in Kitchener earlier in the day.
The driver, 49-year-old Jonathan Poirier was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Belleville on December 29.
