Quinte West OPP say they seized drugs and a fake gun during a traffic stop Sunday Morning.
Just before 3 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Couch Crescent in Trenton. While talking to the driver, police say they saw what looked like cocaine in the vehicle, and asked the driver to step outside. When the driver complied, they then saw what looked like a gun between the driver and passenger seats. The gun was later determined to be a replica.
The suspected cocaine and fake gun, along with what police suspect to be crystal methamphetamine and a collapsible baton were seized, and the driver arrested.
Twenty-year-old Brayden Bunnett of Belleville was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine
- Possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
He was released from custody, and is to appear before the court on December 12.
