Prince Edward County Planning Committee has approved a proposal to partition and rezone a property at 1041 County Road 7 in North Marysburgh.
The property, known as Cressy Bayside Estates, is the planned location for a new subdivision.
The plans would divide the property into eight lots, each over a hectare in size, and rezone the land to permit residential development.
Turner Hill Cemetery is also on the property, which will be deeded to the municipality. The cemetery was evaluated for possible groundwater contamination, but was found to not be a risk.
The planning committee approved the plans, and sent them to city council for final approval.
