Red Nose Quinte is making its return this year with a new name but same objective – to reduce impaired driving during the holiday season.
The program, formerly known as Operation Red Nose, did not run the past two years due to the pandemic.
This year’s co-chairs are Belleville and Quinte West Fire Chiefs Monique Belair, and John Whalen who calls it a life saving program.
The service is free but donations will be accepted for the YMCA Strong Kids Program and the Rotary Club of Quinte Sunrise.
Red Nose Quinte begins November 25 and runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 8:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., ending on New Year’s Eve.
There will be no service December 22, 23, or 24.
This year’s service is dedicated to the late Mark Rollins, a long-time Red Nose Quinte Volunteer and supporter.
The program is also in need of volunteers.
