It’s a Hospital Day of Giving at area McDonald’s in Trenton and Brighton on Wednesday.
McDonald’s in those communities will donate $1 from every Big Mac, and 50 cents from every coffee sold on that day, to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Funds raised will support the purchase of a new $700,000 mammogram that is needed for more than 5,000 patients each year to diagnose breast cancer.
One in eight women will get breast cancer annually in Canada.
There is no cure.
Early detection by way of a mammogram to confirm the cancer is an effective way to help save a life and get treatment started quickly.
