The Wellington Dukes shut out the Toronto Patriots in Junior A Hockey on Saturday.
Julien Jacob, Ryan Smith, and Corbin Roach scored for the Dukes.
Both teams took 12 shots on net but while the Patriots weren’t able to score, the Dukes picked up two goals on power plays in the first two periods, and a third goal late in the third period to secure the win.
Meanwhile, the Georgetown Raiders defeated the Trenton Golden Hawks 6 to 3.
Nate Burelle and Mitch Lafay both scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Raiders were holding down a 2-1 lead at the end of the first period, and kept the lead at 3-2 going into the third. The Golden Hawks scored again in the third but the Raiders claimed three more goals over the period to win the game.
