The Quinte West OPP is seeking the public’s assistance regarding two break and enters that occurred Wednesday morning in Trenton.
On October 26, 2022 at approximately 5:20 a.m., Quinte West OPP responded to an alarm at a gas station located on Dundas Street East and Bay Street. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a glass door to the business was broken and a large quantity of cigarettes, lottery merchandise, and an undisclosed amount of cash stolen. OPP Canine Unit and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) conducted a track however no individuals were located.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., another break and enter was reported at a gas station located on Highway 33, near Stockdale Road in Trenton. At approximately 6:15 a.m.. two suspects forced entry into the business and stole a quantity of cigarettes and cash. The OPP Forensic Identification Section and OPP Community Street Crime Unit are assisting with the investigation.
OPP is looking to identify two individuals and a vehicle captured on surveillance footage. The vehicle involved is a blue, 2005-2009 Ford Fusion sedan with a sunroof and grey alloy rims. One of the suspects is a white male, with a heavy build and was wearing a red jacket or sweater, and the other suspect is a white male, slim build and was wearing a yellow and black plaid jacket or sweater with a black hood, green pants, and black shoes with white soles. Both were wearing balaclavas.
