A man faces charges after arguing with police and eventually hitting an officer.
Belleville police responded to the downtown district around 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon after reports a man was causing a disturbance.
While having a discussion, the suspect took a swing at an officer.
The 32-year-old Belleville man has been charged with assaulting police and making death threats.
Police did not identify the suspect.
