The seniors living in a social housing residence in Quinte West should be able to enjoy their outside time a little better next summer.
For several years, the tenant group at 139 Ontario Street in Quinte West has been advocating for a gazebo at their building.
On Thursday, Hastings County council approved an application to the New Horizons for Seniors Program in the amount of $25,000 for the gazebo.
It also indicated that, for the remainder of the year, staff will be allowed to apply for funding for gazebos at various social housing properties, if funding opportunities arise.
