The mayor of Prince Edward County will remain Steve Ferguson.
In the four-person race, he picked up almost 42% of the vote, defeating Terry Shortt, Dianne O’Brien, and Kyle Douglas- Mayne.
Ferguson said council has been dealing with tough issues like doctor and housing shortages and more work has to be done.

“We’ve taken such significant steps over the course of 4 years I think that with another 4 years we’re going to be able to cure and address many of those issues to move the community forward.”
The members of council will be Phil St-Jean, Brad Nieman, Phil Prinzen, Corey Engelsdorfer, Sam Grosso, Janice Maynard, Roy Pennell, Sam Branderhorst, Bill Roberts, Chris Braney, David Harrison, John Hirsch and Kate MacNaughton.
MacNaughton won over Jane Lesslie in Picton ward by just six votes.
