A Canadian astronaut who was once an air cadet at CFB Trenton has his name on the list of candidates to fly around the moon.
Jeremy Hansen tells Mary Thomas he’s preparing for tests leading to the Artemis rocket flights in the next couple of years.
“But we’re really thinking about the future, 10 and 15 years from now. How do we help the Canadian industry and science community so that Canada will be part of this emerging lunar economy, cause that is what we see coming. That will mean that, you know, Canada’s future economy will be driven by some of the economic activity on and around the moon.”
You can hear the full interview with astronaut Jeremy Hansen on Newsmaker Sunday with host Mary Thomas, this Sunday at the noon hour on 800 CJBQ.
