West Zwick’s Park is going to be a very colourful place to be Sunday (October 16) and it won’t be because the trees are sporting their fall foliage.
The second annual Belleville Diwali Festival goes this afternoon and into the night at West Zwick’s.
Diwali is a major celebration in India, much like our Christmas, in celebration of light over darkness.
Local residents of Indian descent, many of them international Loyalist College students, will be wearing traditional costumes, performing traditional dance, and enjoying various foods, both Indian and Canadian.
The Belleville Diwali Festival, which starts at 2 o’clock, will be topped off with a fireworks show at dusk.
