In local Junior A hockey, the Trenton Golden Hawks shut out the Lindsay Muskies 3 to 0.
Jake Laville scored twice and Jordan Fuller scored as well for the Golden Hawks.
Neither team managed to score in the first period, but during the second the Golden Hawks picked up two goals to take the lead. During the third, they scored a third goal while the Muskies were playing empty net.
Meanwhile, the Wellington Dukes battled the Haliburton Huskies to a standstill with a 4-4 tie after double overtime.
Julien Jacob, Jaxen Boyer, Edward Moskowitz, and Jacob Vreugdenhill all scored for the Dukes.
Both teams took 44 shots on net over the course of the close game, with the Huskies leading by one point going into third period before the Dukes brought it back to a draw. Neither team managed to claim a game winner through two rounds of overtime. Less than 10 penalties were handed out over the entire game, seven of them went to the Huskies.
