Building activity in Quinte West last month was well down from a year ago but, year-to-date numbers are similar.
In September, the City of Quinte West issued 52 building permits with a construction value of $4.3 million.
During the same month in 2021, there were 81 permits worth $10.3 million issued.
September’s construction activity earned the municipality earned just over $61,000 in building permit fees and development charges.
Year-to-date, fewer permits have been issued this year but the construction value is higher than 2021.
So far this year, 631 permits have been issued worth $118.9 million, compared to 687 permits with a value of $100.7 million, through the first nine months of 2021.
