Charges have been laid against a Belleville woman, after an elderly person was taken from a nursing home.
Early Tuesday, city police were called about a missing woman that had been located.
She had been taken from the nursing home by a family member, but without the rest of the family’s permission.
When police confronted the family member, she refused to cooperate with police.
The 41-year-old was arrested and charged with obstructing police and two counts of assaulting police.
She has a court appearance Wednesday.
