Belleville police are looking for a male after an alleged assault on the Bayshore Trail late Wednesday night.
Police responded shortly before 10 o’clock after a female reported sitting on a bench when she was pushed to the ground from behind and threatened with a knife.
The Belleville police K9 unit searched the area but did not locate a suspect.
The male was wearing dark sweatpants and a dark blue hoodie.
