Gleaners Food Bank is starting its annual 2022 city-wide food drive later this month.
The food drive, running for 2 days starting Saturday October 15, brings in much-needed food and monetary donations to allow the food bank to provide food aid to those in need.
New this year will be a drive-thru drop-off both days from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 25 Wallbridge Crescent in Belleville. Gleaners is looking for non-perishable food donations and of course donations of food or money are accepted 5 days a week between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Donation drops are also being set up in all local grocery stores.
Previous food drives brought in up to six months of food for the food bank to distribute.
Donation drops are also being set up in all local grocery stores.
Monetary donations can be completed through their website here.
The most requested items currently are peanut butter, apple juice, canned tuna, pasta and pasta sauce, canned stew, canned baked beans, soups, canned fruit, and gluten free and dietary items.
