Assault with a Weapon
On September 28, 2022 at approximately 11:27 p.m., Belleville police were called to College and Yeomans Street regarding an assault with a weapon. Attending officers spoke to the female complainant, who advised that her ex-husband lunged into the vehicle through the passenger window and began attacking her and her current boyfriend with an edged weapon. The suspect was located a short time later, arrested and charged with:

The 41-year-old Belleville man was held for a bail hearing on September 29, 2022. As the incident is intimate partner violence-related, the male’s name is not being released to protect the victim’s identity.
