Belleville council will decide whether or not to proceed with phase one of a multi-year project to upgrade one of the city’s larger parks.
City staff is recommending TaskForce Engineering both design and build a new washroom and utility building for Hillcrest Park in the area of the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
TaskForce’s bid was the only one received and totalled just over $1 million, including HST.
Hillcrest Park is the new home of the Belleville Lawn Bowling Club and will be the new home of the Children’s Safety Village. Basketball and pickleball courts, along with a splash pad and a playground are also planned for the park.
