Belleville police responded to 76 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on September 19, 2022 to 5 a.m. on September 20, 2022.
Arrest on Warrants
On September 20, 202, at 3:46 a.m., Belleville police officers observed a vehicle that had been reported to have been taken without the owner’s consent driving on Dundas Street East. The car was stopped, and a female driver was identified. A check of the female showed that she was wanted on several warrants for two counts of possession of a drug, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, fail to comply with a release order, and four counts of failing to attend court. As a result, 27-year-old female Katie Skinkle of no fixed address was arrested and held for a show cause hearing on tSeptember 20, 2022.
Thefts of Sewer Grates
Belleville police have responded to two calls over the last two days of unknown individuals stealing sewer grates from a city street and a local business. Anyone with information is asked to contact Belleville police at 613-966-0882.
