The City of Belleville is seeking large spruce trees in preparation for its annual Festival of Lights program.
The city will be receiving submissions from the public.
Once the submission is received, the city will inspect the tree and, if deemed suitable, will arrange for the removal of the tree at no additional cost to the owner.
After the holiday season, the trees will be chipped and used as mulch for the city’s ongoing park program.
Residents or businesses that have a 24′ or taller spruce tree on their property that they would like to donate are asked to submit online.
The deadline is September 30 at 4:30 p.m.
The lighting display will begin after Thanksgiving at Jane Forrester Park on Harbour Dr.
