COVID-19 isn’t going away any time soon according to the Hastings Prince Edward Medical Officer of Health.
At a meeting of the Board of Health on Wednesday, Dr. Ethan Toumishey said that “people need to continue to be vigilant.”
Dr. Toumishey told Quinte News that it’s important people get the vaccine that is available.
“We don’t think COVID-19 is going away any time soon. By utilizing the tools that we have available and everything that we’ve learned. So stay home if you’re sick. Get vaccinated. These are the crucial steps as we’re moving into the fall.”
He indicated that staying up-to-date on the vaccine is the most important factor to protect everyone’s health.
