More housing is being proposed for an older neighborhood in west end Belleville.
Not long ago 2 homes were demolished at 83 and 85 Bridge Street West, just up from John R. Bush Funeral Home.
A developer is now asking the Planning Advisory Committee to rezone the property to allow a single semi-detached dwelling
on the combined properties with a walk down unit and a walk-up unit on each side, for a total of 4 residential units.
At Tuesday’s public meeting no one objected to the proposal.
Staff will come back with a recommendation to the committee for decision in the future.
