Construction permits issued in Prince Edward County in August came to a value of $33,799,910 between 137 permits, said Chief Building Official Andy Harrison in a press release.
In August last year, 107 permits were issued for a combined value of $11,595,950.
Overall this year 735 permits have been issued with a total value of $171,637,071 compared to 682 permits worth $115,899,503 at this time last year.
Prince Edward County has moved to a new permitting system called Cloudpermit, and all new construction permits will be issued this way from now on.
Some older permits are still waiting to finish processing in the old LISA system.
