Five people have been arrested for drug trafficking in Trenton.
Quinte West OPP, as well as the Community Street Crime Unit and members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a home on McGill St.
The search warrant was executed at around 5:30 a.m. on August 17.
Suspected cocaine, cellphones, and other drug accessories were seized.
The value of the drugs seized was $4600.
Five people were arrested inside the home.
Forty-three-year-old Melanie Bealieu, 65-year-old Timothy Joiner, 53-year-old Michael Labarge, 36-year-old Ryan Pocknell, and 46-year-old Angela Read, all from Trenton, have each been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
Pocknell faces two additional charges of failing to comply with a release order and was held for a bail hearing on August 18, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
The other accused persons were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on September 12, 2022.
