The Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, also known as the Skyhawks, will be performing in the Quinte region this weekend.
The Skyhawks will perform at Cedar Ridge Camp near Bancroft on August 19 at 1:00 p.m., at the soccer field in Zwick’s Park in Belleville on August 20 at 11:30 a.m. and at Centennial Park in Trenton on August 21 at 1:00 p.m.
“The public will be able to see the performance which showcases the high standard of professionalism, teamwork, and physical fitness it takes to be part of the Canadian Armed Forces.” according to a press release from the Canadian Armed Forces.
A CC 130J Hercules aircraft will fly the parachutists to where the jumps will be performed at a maximum altitude of 6,000 feet.
The performance will only take place under favourable weather conditions.
If the public would like to attend, they are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance.
