Prince Edward County’s planning committee approved a request to rezone a residential property on Lake Street in Picton on Wednesday.
The property was previously zoned for residential use, and had a single home built on it.
The new zoning change now permits building a planned 12-unit apartment building on the property.
A special consideration was added to the lot’s zoning, permitting only 13 parking spaces, while similar buildings normally require at least 15.
The zoning amendment was sent to council for final approval.
