A driver faces multiple charges, including impaired driving and possessing stolen property, after a single-vehicle rollover in Quinte West.
Quinte West OPP responded to the rollover on Foxboro Stirling Road at around 6:50 p.m. last Friday.
When officers arrived, they found a pickup truck had rolled into a ditch.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation found that the truck driven by the accused was reported stolen out of Fox Creek, Alberta. It was also found that the trailer was stolen from the Township of Stirling Rawdon.
The accused was eventually released from hospital and taken into the custody of the Central Hastings OPP where he was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Forty-five-year-old Dale Kahler of Eldorado, Ontario was charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 – three counts
- Theft over $5000
- Driving while under suspension; and
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on August 25, 2022.
