The number of building permits issued last month in Prince Edward County was up over the year before but the construction value was down.
There were 108 permits with a construction value of $15.2 million issued in July compared to 97 permits worth $25.3 million during the same month in 2021.
Last month’s construction activity was worth more than $113,000 in permit fees for the County.
Year-to-date, building activity remains well above last year.
There’s been $149.1 million worth of construction across Prince Edward County so far this year compared to $104.3 million for the first seven months of 2021.
