A former Prince Edward County councillor is running again in Ameliasburgh.
Roy Pennell has filed his papers for the October municipal election.
Pennell sat on Prince Edward County Council from 2014-18 but lost in a reelection bid in 2018.
A lifelong resident of the County, Pennell has also volunteered with several groups including serving as chair of the Ameliasburgh Fair Board and fundraising for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital.
He is seeking one of three seats in Ameliasburgh.
Incumbent Janice Maynard is running again along with Bill Tkach and Sam Grosso.
