Lennox and Addington OPP are warning about an increase in fraudulent phone calls where people are pressured into scheduling maintenance appointments for their homes.
Police say the female caller claims to be the secretary of Glenn Lasher Home Comfort Service.
At this point, no financial details have been requested and no individuals have attended the homes for the stated time slots.
Still, OPP is warning the public to be aware of these fraudulent phone calls and to report any concerning interaction to police by calling 1-888-310-1122.
The OPP is further reminding the public to always be suspicious of phone calls that request money, and to never offer personal information or money over the phone.
